Ethos Lending key terms
Ambassador Cap
The point at which the value of loans you’ve closed in your anniversary year reaches $10,000,000.
Once you meet this Cap:
Anniversary Year
Your Anniversary Year begins on the first day of the month that you enrolled, and resets annually.
Bonus Qualified
You are Bonus Qualified when you meet one of these criteria:
Clear Loan
A loan that has been closed for at least six months. While closed loans are used for most bonus calculations and qualifications, cleared loans are specifically used for the Consistency Pool.
Closed Loan
A loan that is finalized and funded. All bonuses (except the Consistency Pool) are paid on the loan value of closed loans that produce at least 50 basis points in commission for you as the closing Ambassador. The number of loans you close forms the basis for all your title qualification metrics and determines your performance and advancement along the Career Path.
Downline
All Ambassadors beneath you in your Ambassador genealogy, extending infinitely deep.
First Year Ambassadors
Team members you’ve personally enrolled who are within their first 12 months as an Ambassador. This period starts from their enrollment date and includes the month they joined plus the following 11 months.
Frontline Ambassadors
Ambassadors directly below you in your team genealogy. While these are typically people you’ve personally enrolled, some may have moved to your Level 1 due to organizational changes. Each of your Frontline Ambassadors starts a new leg in your team structure.
Generation
A group in your downline that forms when an Ambassador qualifies for the monthly Title of Ambassador 3 or higher. It includes their entire team down to, but not including, the next Ambassador 3+.
Leg
starts with one of your Frontline Ambassadors and includes everyone beneath them in your organization. You have as many Legs as you have Frontline Ambassadors.
Level
Your position in the team structure relative to other Ambassadors. Your Frontline Ambassadors are your Level 1. Ambassadors enrolled by your Level 1 are your Level 2, and so on, continuing downward without limit. Levels are used to calculate certain bonuses and determine the depth of your team influence.
Qualified Leg
For a Leg to be considered a Qualified Leg, at least one Ambassador within that leg must achieve a specific Paid-As Title (or higher) during the month. For example, to qualify as a Director 1, you need at least one leg where an Ambassador (anywhere in that leg) is qualified as an Ambassador 3 or higher. For Title qualification purposes, Qualified Legs are counted separately from your required Frontline Ambassadors.
Sponsor
An Ambassador who enrolls a new person to become an Ambassador. If your Sponsor leaves the company, their Sponsor becomes your new Sponsor, maintaining the chain of support and team structure.
Team
The Ambassadors, in your downline through your first 3 Levels. This encompasses your personally enrolled Ambassadors (Level 1), their enrollees (Level 2), and the enrollees of your Level 2 (Level 3).
Team Loans
Team Loans are the number of closed loans from you and your entire team through 3 Levels.
